Long ago, when Wayne lived on the Hill, we used to take walks to enjoy these gardens. With their irises, wisteria, bleeding heart, peonies, roses, and all the other odds and ends tucked in here and there, they really captured the spirit of the season. And sometimes there would be real horticultural excitement, such as the times we encountered snapdragons which had survived the winter and taken on a splendor far beyond anything seen in their annual congeners.<br />We still go back for a peek. <br />Your irises are gorgeous.
